Princess Diane 10 years
Today marks the 10nth year since Princess Diana's death. I remember the day we heard about it. I was at my parents house picking up my daughters when it came on the news. We could not believe it. At first we heard about the horrible accident and i remember thinking she was going to be fine (I mean she was the Princess!). We could see shots of the horrible accident and there were lots of speculation but no one was certain of what happened. I remember being a little numb (I loved her and thought she was an incredible woman. I remember wishing i was here when i watched her wedding, which we got up real early to watch!) and when i got home I was stuck to the tv for news. It was horrible to hear of her death. It was even more shocking to hear about what lead to the accident days later. I thought of her sons and her country. We watched her funeral and it was so sad. I can't help but think about what she would have accomplished had she lived and who she would have become. It is still sad to remember her death (even 10 years later). I found a picture of the doll that came out shortly after her wedding. I remember wanting that doll with her beautiful dress so much! I saw it in a magazine and cut the picture out. I never received the doll and i have pormised myself if I ever see one I will do my best to purchase it.

Today was the first day of school for Gigi. She is now "officially" a Senior! *sniff...sniff* We went to the orientation today and it was a little sad thinking this would be the last time we would be coming into orientation and CedarWood. *sniff...sniff* Reggie and I are both excited and sad about this year. Sad about our baby growing up...*sniff...sniff*...and excited because she has a brand new year ahead of her and there are so many opportunities ahead of her! It is going to be fun to see what kind of year we have. I hope it is full of fun, growth, newness and adventure!!!
We are blessed to be able to send her to a Christian School and it was so wonderful to be able to pray for her and the other students with other parents. It is wonderful to know the teachers and staff are praying for her and her peers. I know God has some wonderful things for the Senior class of 08' and I am so excited to watch this year unfold! *sniff...sniff*

A is for...
Autumn....my favorite season of the year! I love the colors and fact that this is a transitional period (between summer and winter) for our planet. We are so blessed in Colorado to be able to experience Autumn (as well as the other 3 seasons) and it is beautiful. I also love Halloween and Turkey day which fall in the Autumn. It is a cozy, peaceful and colorful time of the year and I look forward to it every year.
Aunts....I have some great Aunts in my life (I don't see them as often as I would like). They are some strong women who are pillars in their families. My Aunt Mary was my favorite Aunt growing up! She was so "hip" and fun to be around. There was a time when she stayed with us and it was wonderful! I remember staying up and talking with her and it was one of the first times in my life when i felt like someone was really listening to me and what I was saying. She encouraged me to think outside the box and to see myself in a different light! Mmmmm....I sure do miss her!
Antoinette....my name which I love!
Armed Forces....I come from a family of military men and women. I respect and honor those who choose to serve our country. I remember seeing pictures of family members in uniform and thinking "wow". I also remember hearing stories from them about the training, the travels and yes the wars they fought in. I was always in awe when I would hear those stories. They helped me to see a world outside the North side where I grew up. There was a time when I wanted to be in the military but that phase did not last long (I have yet to decide if that was good or bad).
Action...I believe life is about action! It's about moving forward (or sideways...just as long as we are moving). It's about refusing to stay on the sidelines and watch life pass you by. It's about making the most of everyday you have been blessed with. It's about laughing and crying, screaming and simmering, it's about taking the bull by the horns and not letting go! Life, if you are going to enjoy it is about ACTION!!!! I so want to be this type of person on a daily basis and i am focusing on being a player on the field instead of a bench warmer...

school shopping!!
I know it sounds funny but i have really enjoyed school shopping with my girls. We have been clothes and school supply shopping (we still have to do the shoe thing....shoes my favorite!!!). We were coming out of Target tonight and it hit me...this is the last year of school list shopping (my baby is a Senior this year!!). It was a sad moment! No more lists letting us know what we need to buy. No more getting excited to get them back to school (August is that time of year where they start getting bored which results in them getting on your nerves which results in mental breakdowns which...are not good). *sighy*
7 things i am grateful for...
1/ 21 years with my hunny bunny
2/ "Jesus" music (grin)
3/ being able to take my girls school supply shopping (it never gets old)
4/ my team/job
5/ pictures...and what they bring....memories
6/ blogging (huge grin)

Remembering Elvis
Today is Elvis Presley's anniversary of his death. How amazing that even after all these years he is so popular!!! Love, love. love him. I remember as a child watching his movies and thinking he was wonderful. My mother grew up listening to him and shared that love with me. Frankie and Bobby, Blue Hawaii and Viva Las Vegas were some of my favorite's. I still get a thrill today when I see one of his movies on tv! We were able to visit Graceland a few years ago and that is something I thought about doing ever since I was young (one of the 101 things to do in life!). We took lots of pictures and his house was incredible! I can only imagine how packed it is today! I was to young to remember much about his death. I just know my Mom was real sad. I think America is still sad over his death and today many people from all over the world (when we were there we saw teddy bears from China at his grave!) are thinking about him and his "yummy" looks (hehehe). I sure wish I could have seen him live!

who is going to win????
So who is going to win So You Think You Can Dance??????
Out of the 4 dancers there we like Sabra and Neil. However, we think the public is liking Lacie. They can all dance (and yes Danny can twirl!!) but Sabra or Neil needs to win!!! If we were to judge only on tonight performance I would have to say....well I am not going to say because they were all ok (not great but ok). I think last years finale was sooooo much better! So much! Anyway the girls voted and voted and now we wait....
So good luck to all 4 and may Sabra or Neil win!!!!

Today my husband and I celebrated out 21st year as man and wife! 21 years! It is amazing to think we have been together that long! 21 years ago we were in Las Vegas preparing to start a life together. Wow!! How young we were. How innocent we were. How naive we were. Wow!!!
I am so glad we took that plane 21 years ago. I am so glad we said "I do". I am so glad we started that journey 21 years ago.
I love my husband and I think he is incredible. I am looking forward to another 21 years!!!! Who knows what we accomplish in those years...more travel, grandchildren, school, a new home and a fun exciting new journey. I look forward to that and so much more!!!!
