Wow!!! It is amazing how fast a week can go...it flies by!! It is already Thursday! It has been a good week...I was able to go grocery shopping, do laundry, make meals every night but tonight (meeting night), go to bible study, plan a fun "anniversary" for one of my agents, plan a "birthday" for another agent, read, exercise, catch up on some DVR shows and enjoy the puppies, use my 30% off Archivers coupon. Wow...having said that makes me feel better...but why, oh, why do I want to focus on the things I did NOT do??? Hmmmmmm...I am sooooo like that and it is not good. Something I need to look at (I think it is that administrator in me....)!!

* Missing Gigi and wondering what she is doing? Is she happy? Is she enjoying herself? Is God moving in her? I sure pray so....

* Ann...I pray she is safe and at peace. She is so far away. I am amazed at these two ladies...they are young and have opted to follow what they feel God wants for them. At 18!!! Wow!!! At 18 I was getting drunk and having fun in college...caring for noone but me. Wow!!! These are 2 amazing young girls.

* *sigh* I am not sure what I should be doing for God. I know I am to pray and I am working on that but there has to be more..... I have an idea but hmmmmmm.... I am so unsure. I hate thinking of failing but at the same time I was thinking the other day...You just need to go forward...if it fails it will not be because you did not try and that is what counts....hmmmmmm....

* God...He is amazing but why oh why does he require us to be obedient? hmmmmmmm....interesting thought. NO I am not saying it is wrong of Him to require it I jusy wonder why....*sigh*

* He is merciful...and I am so thankful!!!

* Wow!!! are we in a recession? If so why is that innaguration costing millions??? Familes are starving and we are going to spend that much on this? Wow!!! I thought demorcrats were for the people and their best interest??? Is spending this kind of money in the best interest of "the people" or is it in the best interest of "THE PEOPLE"????

update on the puppies!!! ...they are driving us crazy (especially my daughter who has to watch them all day!!). Yes, they are cute and lovable but WOW!!! they are sooooo much work and the time...WOW!!! the time is huge!!! We actually sigh (yes...SIGH!!!) when we have "nap" time!!! WOW!!! Love them...YES!!! Enjoying them...YES!!! 2 puppies again...NO!!!!!!!!!

It's funny how much this song describes areas in my life....it also reminds me so much of my baby girl. It is amazing how twenty something years can separate two people but they could still be growing and possibly experiencing some of the same things. Amazing! I have been singing this song all week and when I hear it on the radio my heart immediately goes to an incredible girl in Oklahoma and I smile (love you baby girl...and yes there is peace at the end of the chaos!!)...

i thought i would look for some meme's and found a few new ones!! wahoo!!! It has been so "heavy" in my world lately I wanted something fun!! Work is crazy (end of year reviews and death...), hunny bunny's world is crazy so it affects my world (I would not have it any other way!), new puppies, baby girl and ...life!!! I am sooo hoping this is not what is to come in 2009! If it is I see myself having to make time for me or I will go nuts!!! I will say this..the one constant is God!! and I soooo need a constant right now! I am so happy to know He is there and though I may not always reach for Him I KNOW He is there and it helps sooo much!!!! My one constant!!! I was able to scrap more towards the end of the year (and I have not downloaded them pages yet...sigh) so when I say these are the my 5 favorite pages of 2008 they are from the beginning of 2008 (smile). The fun thing about these pages is they were all part of challenges and this shows me how much I LOVE challenges and how much they help me get pages done!! I will be putting that on my continuation list for 2009...challenges!

With the holidays we have watched a few movies...

This was a "chick flick" and hunny bunny watched it with me and Boo. It was funny and sad...i loved how it was a 100% woman movie. *grin*

This was a really good movie. It was intense at times and boy did i dislike "her". *grin*

I am reading a few books (I would like to read more in 2009). I am currently reading...








I started reading this while I was walking and I think it is going to be a good book. It talks about communicating in marriage and how we have 5 different languages. Knowing each others language will help a marriage/communication be successful.





OK..I am sooo in love with her books. I had the girls laughing because we were in Barnes and I just picked it up to purchase (I did not have to look at the cover or back...loving someones writing is like that...teeehehehehe...)

This one has been out for a few months but it was hard to find (interesting...). I located it and am now reading it. The first 2 chapters have been awesome!! I know the rest of the book will be that way!!!

ok...so you know one of my wierd secrets...i am sooo eclectic in my reading...*sigh*

Saturday and it was a day to do some "running" around. I had to get some "puppy stuff" Wow!! Puppies are expensive!!! Between the price of the dog(s) and their supplies we are spending a pretty penny!! Wow! We are not liking the "potty training" so I went to get some pads and wow!!! $30.00!!! And then her nails are getting long so we needed clippers...$16.00!!! wow!!! She is soooo cute but I do not know is I am at the "priceless" stage yet (you know the commercial where they spend tons of money and then say ...priceless). Time will tell!!! Her name is "Ripley"...yes my daughter named her after the hero in "ALIENS". And I will say this...the name sooooo fits her!!!

Happy New Year! It has been 2009 for 2 days!! Wow!! It was so exciting to have Gigi here with us. We miss her and enjoyed her sooo much!! We added a new puppy to the mix and that made for a fun new year (teeehehehehe...i am positive there will be more on her in the upcoming months). I hope everyone had a fun and safe new year! We celebrated in Burgess tradition (Red Lobster, a gift and counting in the New Year together!!). We have pictures and I will get those downloaded soon.

Where did 2008 go? There was soooo much that happened and it was fast and fierce!! It went so fast I don't believe I was able to accomplish everything I set out to do. I did set out and to be honest I feel like I am starting my journey in some of those important areas. I have been reflecting on these things....finances, marriage, my faith, my girls, me...WOW!! So much!! And 2008 was an incredible year...a year of change, a year of growth, a year of awareness...in self, God, marriage, motherhood, daughterhood...so much!! I fill there is so much more to do so I believe 2009 will be a continuation...I believe it will be a year to complete the "growth" process. I like to call it the "goo" stage...you know that time between the caterpillar and the butterfly...that time when so many incredible things are happening but if you look to close it is real ugly!!! Metamorphosis!!! Yes...that will be my theme this year....I will be building on this....teeeheheheheeee. I also need to get my 2009 list blogged real soon.

Today was bittersweet. We took Gigi to the airport and she is now back in Oklahoma. *sigh* I am really missing her! It was such a blessing to spend 10 days with her. I loved hearing her laugh and our home seemed like home. *sigh* We were able to spend the day with her and we went to Senor Rics for dinner (one of her favorite restaurants). She has her Christmas stuff still here and I will be getting that in the mail for her next week. It was a relief to hear she had arrived safely (Thanks Debbie for picking her up!!). She will be back for Spring break and we are already counting the days....teeehehehehe. Missing her tons and Millions of Memories.
