a few layouts from this weekend...

friends
one of my favorite holidays!! *do you notice how there is no picture of the finished house???....teeeehehehe maybe this year!*

I found this incomplete lo in one of my files. I added some current pictures and WOW!! how time flies!! (it scanned a little wierd)

My hunny bunny...

Manic Monday

If you could "un-invent" one thing in the world so that it would no longer exist, what would you choose? If I could "un-invent" one thing it would be alcohol (liquor)! I think there are so many bad things that have come out of people getting "wasted" and I feel the world would be a better place without it.

Monday morning you usually waking up thinking: I start thinking about the things I have to accomplish this week. I also think about it being my "Sunday" and I have the night off!!! teeeehehehe...and last but not least...Who is playing tonight (football).

Do you find it easy to ask for help? Why or why not? No...it is very very hard for me to ask for help!! I am a very prideful person and I feel people will look down on me for not being able to do something on my own (i know...tsk...tsk..tsk...). HOWEVER
, I am learning to ask and put those "weak" thought out of my head (so far i am doing pretty good). I believe a person is that much more stronger if they are able to ask for help along the way...

Monday's a ______

Random Joy

1. Do you bruise easily? YES!!!! I never use to (i think it has to do with age...teeehehehe). All I have to do is touch something and I bruise! I hate it!!!

2. What does your name rhyme with? croquette (????)

3. If you could have any famous piece of art to display in your home, which would you choose? Bouquet of Sunflowers by Monet

4. What's the most inconvenient thing about the place you're currently living? Inconvenient...well there is nothing inconvenient but if you were to ask what I don't like I would have a few things...

5. What book are you reading right now? I am reading 3
romance novels" and 2 "self-help" books. I am loving all 5 of them!!! (they are spread out in my house and office so I cannot give you the exact title's)

6/ my hunny bunny.....as corny as this sounds....he completes me (he does!!!)

7/ Sunday mornings

busy weekend!

this was a very busy weekend! I was able to watch 2 soccer games (both coached by my hunny bunny and Gigi played in them (i was able to try my long long lense out on my digital camera). I also went to and watched the Fall parade (Boo was in it). I mowed the back and front lawn! Went shopping! Went to church and heard a wonderful message from a visitor (good stuff about God loving us just the way we are...he even gave out a $10.00 bill and had an old glass bottle) Watched the first Bronco game of the season (wahooooo!!! we won!!). and...finished 5 layouts!! Wow!! it is amazing what one can do in 3 days! It also felt good to have the last 3 days off! I was able to rest in between all the activities (teeeehehehehe!). *to think this is the start of our fall season (busy...busy...busy).*

Saturday, September 8, 2007

wow! today is one of those busy busy days! We just finished coming from the Harvest Parade where Boo performed with the Dance group she belongs to. It was fun to watch and I enjoyed all the kids (lots of bands and local schools!). We (hunny bunny and I) enjoyed it more this year because we dropped Boo off and will picked her up at the drop off zone. We did not have to worry about her getting lost or meeting her before she was finished (one of the benefits of having an older child....teeeehehehe). We came home for a uniform change and will now be off to watch Gigi play soccer (she had her first soccer game yesterday for her high school and today is the first game for Wolfpack). It's hot out so I will be able to enjoy the game while getting my "fall" tan (I love soccer because it allows me to "refresh" the summer tan I start loosing about right now....teeeeehehehe).

I have 3.5 months left!!! i sure hope i can do this!!!!

Inquiring Minds

This week's questions were created by Gillian, wannabe snoop and secret-monger.

1. Which do you think reveals more about a person, the contents of their refrigerator or the contents of their purse? That depends...are we talking about a woman or a man??? teeehehehe. I think what is in the refrigerator reveals more about a person.

2. When you visit someones home, what are you most interested in looking at? The was they have decorated their home!!!!

3. If you could make it so that one person on earth was physically incapable of telling lies or keeping secrets, celebrities & politicians included, who would you choose? Ohhhh...this is good, kind of like do i choose to open Pandora's box???!!? hmmmm...if I were honest I would not want anyone "forced" to tell me the truth or reveal secrets. It would be my hope that everyone i truly care about is honest with me if not....well i guess i would rather not know (it's called trust).

4. Have you ever spilled the beans on someone else's secret? If so, what was it? Yes...it was 100% a pure accident! *red faced* i would rather not say...

5. Have you ever kept a diary? If so, was it top secret? What did you write about? Yes, when i was younger. Of course it was top secret!!! I mean isn't that what diaries are for!!?!! I wrote about crushes and girls who were mean and ugly (in reality they were ok but the boys i liked liked them so to me they were ugly!!!) teeeeeehehehe...childhood!

How full is your bucket?

How full is your bucket? It is a good question and even a better book.
I am reading "How Full Is Your Bucket?" (Tom Rath and Donald O. Clifton PH.D). It is a great about how interactions with others can be positive or negative. Do people we interact with (co-workers, family, friends, people at the check out stand...) fill out "buckets" with positive things (happiness, joy, laughter, encouragement...) or do they steal from our buckets (make us feel sad, angry,
depressed...). How do we fill others buckets (or do we)? Are we the type of people who fill buckets or do we take from them? I know there was a time in my life when I was a bucket thief *gasp*!! I was always taking! And i also went through a stage where I was surrounded by those who would take from my bucket (yes, that could be the reason why I was taking from others buckets...to fill my own). Currently I am trying to focus on filling the buckets of those I interact with (notice I say try...because it is a very hard task to stay focused on!).
There are some wonderful stories and insight in this book. If you are a leader or someone who wants to learn why it is so important to fill buckets instead of take from them please read this book! Here are a few words from it that i enjoyed...

"These recent studies show that negative emotions can be harmful to your health and might even shorten your life span. We already know that one negative person can ruin an entire workplace, but negative emotions can also destroy relationships, families and entire careers.

In contrast, recent discoveries suggest that positive emotions are an essential requirement for survival. Not only do they improve your physical and mental health, but they also provide a buffer against depression and illness."

I really want to strive to be someone who fills other buckets with positive things. I want to be someone others WANT to be around and feel good when they walk away from out interaction. That is one thing I want to be remembered as...a bucket filler!!!

My hunny bunny and i watched "Facing the Giants" yesterday (my oldest was at a Panic at the Disco concert and my baby was with her Grandparents so we had the house to ourselves). I know...we decided to watch a movie....(could it be age....teeehehehe). Well, I think we made a great decision because the movie was incredible. I cried and cried through the whole movie...but it was sooooo good! I would recommend it to everyone. It is about a high school coach who is struggling with a loosing team and personal things in his life. It is about seeing God work and bless! It is about seeing God do the impossible!!! Ohhh...i have to go out and by this movie...it is that good! I would say more but I don't want to ruin it (trust me and see it!!). The one thing I took from the movie (besides a bunch of wet Kleenex....eeeewwwww!) is that GOD can do ANYTHING and NOTHING is impossible!!!! What a blessing!

Labor Day! We spent the last "official" day of Summer doing nothing! It was fun. We went out for lunch and we saw the famous firemen with boots at a corner. My hunny bunny was so excited because he was able to put money in the boot (aaaahhhh...the little things). This got me to thinking about Jerry. Did he have a marathon last night??? I don't think so. Do you remember watching Jerry Lewis' yearly marathon? I do. I remember trying to stay up all night with him when i was younger and being in awe of all the money he was collecting. I always wished i could call and give them money, but i was a child and did not have any....*sighy*

teehehehehe...i found him!! He is on channel 2 in our area! Wow!! He sure has aged but i think it is wonderful that he is still doing his telethon! AWESOME!! As i was watching the show I saw the ticker that showed the money he earned. Wow!! another memory cam back of me anxiously waiting for the numbers to go higher and higher and getting all excited when the drum would roll and he would give the latest amount. Wow!!! is it not amazing how viewing something can trigger so many memories...amazing!
